1. The Department appreciates and accepts Mission's P-1
referral of Truong Van Duc and
Nguyen Thanh Minh Tri and their dependents for refugee
resettlement consideration.


2. Truong Van Duc: Cable states there is an older child not
included in the case. If this adult child is unmarried and
the last remaining family member in Vietnam, HRS should
request DHS/CIS, at the time of the CIS interview, to
consider this individual for humanitarian purposes.


3. Reftel HCM 1015 Para 8: All Vietnamese who were screened
out in Thailand and were repatriated to Vietnam between
October 1, 1995 and April 22, 1996 were automatically
eligible for ROVR. ICMC/ROVR staff in Vietnam coordinated
with UNHCR to contact every returnee to confirm their
interest in the ROVR program.


4. Refcoord should ensure a copy of reftel is included each
applicants file so the adjudicating DHS/CIS officer has all
information relevant to this case.
