Affairs Human Rights Expert, Christina Yotova on November 20.
Yotova said that she was already aware of Mr. Pierre-Richard
Prosper's candidacy. She said that the Government of
Bulgaria (GOB) would give his candidacy full consideration,
given his strong qualifications and the good relationship
with the United States. She said that the GOB's practice is
to make a final decision just before the vote, since many
countries put forward candidates at the last minute. She
anticipates that GOB will notify the United States of its
decision in January via verbal note.
