(C) In response to the demarche on UNGA Third Committee
Resolutions delivered to the Government of Singapore on
November 16, Jophie Tang, Deputy Director of the
International Organizations Directorate, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs advised that Singapore was likely to abstain from
voting on the resolutions and no-action motions.
In the past Singapore has abstained on all country specific
resolutions saying the Third Committee is not the
appropriate forum for such resolutions.
