(S) Jonathan Tow of MFA's International Organizations Directorate on May 23 provided us with a storage cost estimate for the 20 containers of sodium perchlorate Singapore seized April 21 (reftels). ¶2. (S) Tow said Singapore Customs estimated that storing the containers would cost approximately S$15,000-20,000 (USD9,800-13,000) per month. He emphasized that this was a ballpark figure that did not take into account disposal costs. Tow said the MFA was still working on responses to our other questions posed in Ref B. HERBOLD
