1. (U) Per reftel authorization, the Ambassador designated
Pol M/C Joseph Y. Yun to sign the "Memorandum of
Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Trade of the Republic of Korea and the Department of Energy
of the United States of AMERICA for Cooperation on the Global
Threat Reduction Initiative." On December 14, Pol M/C and
Song Young-wan, Director General for International
Organizations signed the MOU at MOFAT.
2. (U) As requested, the original English version of the
signed MOU was sent by pouch to Kathryn Insley, ISN/CTR, Rm
3327, Main State. Scanned copies of the signed MOU were
emailed on December 14 to ISN/CTR and EAP/K.
