Giorgia De Parolis December 7. De Parolis said the Italian
position closely tracked the U.S. position and that they
would also like to see the election of the President without
conditions. She said Italy would like to see the eventual
President be elected with as much consensus as possible to
ensure a solution conducive to Lebanese stability. De
Parolis said she would send the points immediately to the MFA
Director General for Mediterranean and Middle East Cesare
Ragaglini, who is currently in Lebanon.
