Acting UN Office Director Gabriella Biondi and urged Italy to
support Felice Baer's reelection to the United Nations
Committee Against Torture. Biondi confirmed that Italy does
not have a candidate running in the election. Biondi said
she did not foresee any problem supporting Gear, but that
Italy would wait for the full slate of candidates before
making a decision.
