1. (SBU) PolEconOff delivered reftel points May 21 to Liga
Rozeniece, Head of International Organizations Division at the MFA,
and stressed the importance of a broad interpretation of UNSCR
1747's instructions. PolEconOff also highlighted the May 24 due
date for states to submit UNSCR 1737 reports on the implementation
of this resolution. Rozeniece expressed appreciation for the points
outlining the US view on this issue, but provided no immediate
response.
