MATERIALS WITH THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF KOSOVO
1. (U) This is an action request. See para 3.
2. (U) For the last two years, the American University of
Kosovo (AUK) has been running a Reserve Office Training Corps
(ROTC)-type program in conjunction with the Kosovo Protection
Corps (KPC). AUK is affiliated with the Rochester Institute
of Technology (RIT). The AUK program is loosely based on the
Citadel ROTC program, from which two Kosovo Protection Corps
(KPC) officers graduated. AUK asked the USOP Defense Attache
Office (DAO) for assistance in further developing their
program, and we would like to share the U.S. Army ROTC
curriculum with them.
3. (U) USOP would like to request a copy of the U.S. Army
ROTC program and Department of State permission to share it
with AUK. Please advise us of the necessary steps. This
would be a bilateral initiative, and would not involve NATO.
