Emboff delivered reftel demarche on April 17 to Ministry of
Agriculture Food Safety Officer Karel Riha, who confirmed
that the Czech Republic will vote in favor of the European
Commission's proposal to use two biotech corn varieties and
one biotech sugar beet variety for import, food and feed in
the EU. Riha will represent the GOCR at the EU Standing
Committee vote on April 19, 2007.
