1. MFA Security Policy Director Veronika Smigolova confirmed
to POLOFF on January 5 that the Czech Republic will be
represented by a Foreign Minister at the January 26 NATO
ministerial proposed by Secretary Rice. Smigolova noted that,
despite a possible change of Foreign Minister as part of
ongoing government formation negotiations (Ref B),whoever
holds the job on January 26th will participate in Brussels.
