On February 2, 2007, the Czech Parliament gave the final
approval for the ratification of the U.S.- Czech Bilateral
Instruments to the U.S.- E.U. Agreements on Extradition and
Mutual Legal Assistance. 168 parliamentarians were present.
122 voted in favor of ratification, 46 abstained, none
opposed. The two bilateral instruments were signed May 16,
2006 by then Justice Minister Pavel Nemec and then Ambassador
William Cabaniss.
