PolOff presented background information on the Community of
Democracies meeting planned for October 1 on the margins of
the UNGA Meeting to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Political
Director Wiener Jean-Baptiste. Jean-Baptiste informed POLOFF
September 24 that Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Renald
Clerisme will will attend the October 1 CD meeting in New
York hosted by Mali. Jean-Baptiste added that Haiti supports
the CD concept and is delighted that an African country will
host the biennial Ministerial in November.
