individuals to participate in the March 26-27 European
conference entitled, "A Comprehensive Approach to Modern
Insurgency: Afghanistan and Beyond."
a.) Philippe Carre, A/S-Equivalent Director for Strategic
Affairs, Security and Disarmament, MFA. If not available,
post recommends his deputy, Francois Richier, PDAS-Equivalent
for Strategic Affairs, Security and Disarmament, MFA
b.) Pierre Thenard, DAS-Equivalent for Security in the Bureau
of Strategic Affairs, Security and Disarmament, MFA
c.) Jean de Ponton d,Amecourt, Director for Strategic
Affairs, MOD
d.) Bertrand Besancenot, Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister,

e.) Jean-Bernard Vernon, Counselor to the Chief of Strategy,
