(C//NF) The Chief of Mission approves the proposal to add two U.S. Direct Hire positions - an Assistant Air Attache (A/AIRA) on a one-time basis, and a Secretary, and to abolish two U.S. Direct Hire positions - Bilingual Research Technicians (BLRT). ¶2. (C) The proposed staffing change is not reflected in the most recent MSP. The addition of the A/AIRA position is a result of utilizing the best qualified officer to staff USDAO Paris, in lieu of filling the existing Assistant Army Attache (A/ARMA) position. The secretary position will support the Operations Coordinator and performa a wide range of administrative duties. The two BLRT positions are currently vacant and the FTE will be reutilized elsewhere in the Defense Attache System. ¶3. (U) Because there is no net increase in staffing as a result of this proposal, DAO Paris will absorb all support costs within existing resources and at current ICASS billing levels. ¶4. (C) With the implementation of this staffing change proposal, current staffing levels of USDAO Paris will remain 14 U.S. Direct Hire and 7 Locally Employed Staff positions.
