(1) Per reftel, post delivered demarche on the new U.S. Law
on Maritime Cargo Scanning Requirements to Terence Craig,
head of the Americas Division of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Suriname. Craig had no immediate reaction.
(2) Post also conveyed the information to the Maritime
Authority of Suriname and the Ministry of Transportation,
Communication, and Tourism.
(3) Post will report any susbstantive response from the
Government of Suriname.
