1. Per reftel, POLOFF delivered demarche to Terence Craig Head of
the Americas Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA) April
18, 2007. Craig said that he was unaware of our desire to issue a
joint statement to begin cooperative efforts to combat illicit
trafficking in arms. POLOFF shared the USG views on the key issues
per reftel, paragraph 4, with Craig. He said he would pass this
information on to individuals in the MFA who handle these matters
and would inform post of any new developments.
