(C) On November 16, Econoff delivered points in reftel to
Yves Beaulieu, Deputy Director for Counter-Terrorism,
International Crime and Terrorism Division, Department of
Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Beaulieu
appreciated the information and offered his assurances that
Canada has not "dropped" this issue. He said that he could
not offer any indication of whether Canada will ultimately
designate TRO or any timeline for any such action. He
stressed that this is still an "active" issue within the
Government of Canada. Embassy Ottawa will continue to follow
up on this issue and will report any developments.
