¶1. (S) On July 3 Ar Attache delivered reftel points to MOD
Directo of the Transatlantic and European Security
Coopration Division Henning Vaglum. Vaglum voiced th GON's
appreciation of the notice of pending actons, and will
forward the information to the ppropriate office in
Stavanger. Noting that the reduction was necessary, Vaglum
stated that it would have little impact on Norway. Under
separate cable, the Air Attache also described the GON's
strong interest in the overall drawdown of USAF personnel in
Europe, particularly regarding a closure of the 38th Combat
Support Wing unit in Stuttgart, Germany.
