(SBU) On May 21 we delivered reftel points to Norwegian MFA
Desk Officer for China Jannike Graatrud. Graatrud had no
immediate comment but said she will forward points to
Ministry of Agriculture and to Norwegian delegation at the
OIE meeting. On May 10 we discussed Norwegian and U.S.
positions on this issue with Ministry of Agriculture Deputy
Director General Steinar Svanemyr. Svanemyr told us that
Norway would likely follow the USG's lead. Post will inform
the Department of any further substantive response.
