(C) On May 1 we delivered reftel points to Tormod Endresen,
Deputy Director General in the MFA's Section for Human Rights
and Democracy. The Norwegians will not support Belarus'
candidacy for UN Human Rights Council membership, and are
hoping that a third candidate emerge. Endresen did not
acknowledge whether the GON would alternatively back Slovenia.
