(C) On March 26 Ambassador delivered reftel A points to MFA
State Secretary Liv Monica Bargem Stubholt. She noted that
the GON fully supported UN Special Envoy Ahtisaari's Kosovo
recommendations, and that these would lead to the best
outcome possible, given world realities. She cited the need
for European unity on this issue, and hoped that any debate
would narrowly focus on the Special Envoy's written
recommendations. She also stated that the GON appreciates
the sensitive nature of this matter for Serbia, and
encouraged all involved to have resolve and patience on the
Kosovo issue. The DCM also raised reftel A points with MFA
State Secretary Raymond Johansen in a separate March 26
meeting.
