(SBU) On February 20 we delivered reftel points to Merethe
Bjorkle, Adviser in the Norwegian Immigration Directorate.
When approached regarding Samartino's case, Bjorkle noted
that she could not comment on this individual, and
governmental policy blocked her from either confirming or
denying that Samartino's case is even being considered. She
replied that further questions or comments regarding future
resettlement cases should be directed through the United
Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Headquarters
Resettlement Service in Geneva.
