1. On Wednesday, February 14, conoff assisted DIF Mexican
officials in the repatriation of the three minor Jimenez
children. The children were turned over into the custody of
Arizona's Child Protection Services (CPS) Officer, Nicole
McCallister. Officer McCallister, tel. (602) 644-3000, provided
Post with a copy of the Notice of Removal presented to U.S.
Immigration officers at the Nogales Port of Entry (POE).
Mexican District Attorney Eduardo Chavez provided Post with a
copy of his letter instructing DIF to release the children to
CPS.
2. Conoff verified the children's safe return to Phoenix, AZ
with CPS offices on Thursday, February 15. CPS also informed
post that after their investigation, their decision was to
return the children to their mother's care. Post considers this
case closed.
