UNGA RESOLUTIONS

Per reftel, PolOff on December 11 demarched First Secretary
Marios Kountourides, Department of Multilateral Affairs,
Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Kountourides stated
that Cyprus's UN PermRep would attend the UNGA plenary votes
December 17-19 to ratify the country-specific resolutions
passed earlier in the UN Third Committee. While he refused
to state definitively his PermRep's instructions, Cyprus
voted the same way as the USG on the country-specific
committee resolutions, and Post has no reason to believe it
will change its positions in the plenary session.
