CONFERENCE
REF: SECSTATE 156602
Per reftel, PolOff demarched First Secretary Marios
Kountourides, Department of Multilateral Affairs, Cypriot MFA
on December 7. Kountourides said that Cyprus is "very much
for" collaborating on the development of global nuclear
detection architecture model guidelines, and has "no
objections" to the reftel proposal. He hoped that Cyprus
would send a technical-level representative to the proposed
meeting of Global Initiative partners, the International
Atomic Energy Agency and the European Union, but at this
time, it has not selected an individual.
