¶1. (S) We delivered reftel demarche and non paper to Eva
Papakyriakou, head of MOKAS (the Cypriot FIU) on July 3. She
promised to share with us any identification information that
MOKAS or the Central Bank had in its possession on those
individuals/entities listed in the annexes to UNSCRs 1737 and
¶1747.
¶2. (S) Comment: MOKAS is very responsive to our requests and
has made international cooperation a priority. Based on
previous experience, however, we would be surprised if Cyprus
were to have any information on the individual/entities
listed in the UNSCR annexes. We will report any further
response.
