Vishwesh Negi (UN Peacekeeping) on December 27 to urge GOI
cooperation in extending Lt. General Jasbir Singh Lidder's
tour of duty as UNMIS Force Commander. Acting DATT also
contacted Ministry of Defense Joint Secretary Sanjeev Kumar
(Planning and International Cooperation) on December 27,
conveying same. Kumar and Negi officials thanked us for our
views and affirmed that they will consult within their
Ministries and get back to us.
