During a July 31 meeting with MFA Undersecretary Zonicle and
MFA Permanent Secretary Carey, PolChief informed the MFA of
the formation of the Import Safety Working Group and left
information with the MFA regarding the scope and mandate of
the group. The Bahamas exports approximately $100 million in
fish products annually to the United States, so the import
safety working group's formation should be of interest to
Bahamian exporters.
