(C) In a February 11 meeting with Minister Responsible for
Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi covering a number of
regional and bilateral issues (septels),the Ambassador
raised ref A points and emphasized the importance to
Washington of the most effective and comprehensive
implementation possible of UN Security Council Resolution
(UNSCR) 1737. Bin Alawi responded that the Omani government
fully supported UNSCR 1737 and, after running appropriate
checks, had not identified any assets in the country's
financial system belonging to the individuals or entities
listed in the resolution's Annex.
