(SBU) Pol-Econ Chief met on November 3 with Abdullah al-Riyami, Deputy Director of the Department of International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to confirm a proposed meeting in The Hague between the Omani and U.S. delegations to the conference of the states parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Al-Riyami stated that he and the other members of the Omani delegation would arrive at The Hague during the morning of November 4 and would be available to meet with the U.S. delegation on the margins of the conference to discuss the pending U.S.-Oman host country agreement concerning the conduct of challenge inspections under the CWC. He further advised that the U.S. delegation should contact him via the following cellular telephone numbers to arrange a date, time and venue for the meeting: 968-99-22-54-88 968-92-88-75-55 ¶2.
