(C) The Ambassador conveyed U/S Jeffery's letter to First DFM
Denisov November 12, and had a brief, preliminary discussion
with him. Denisov said he thought the proposal for a
bilateral economic dialogue made sense, and he was receptive
to a meeting with U/S Jeffery in Moscow in late January of
next year. He and the Ambassador agreed to meet on Monday,
November 19, to discuss the issue in more detail, after
Denisov had had a chance to consult with his colleagues in
the GOR.
