On April 2 we delivered reftel demarche and nonpaper to
Vladimir Prokhorov of the MFA's New Challenges and Threats
Department, notifying the GOR that the U.S. had designated
Iran's Defense Industries Organization as a WMD proliferator
under Executive Order 13382. On April 12, Prokhorov
responded that the GOR was considering a review of Iran's DIO
activity. We also delivered reftel nonpaper to Aleksandr
Deyneko, of the MFA's Department for Disarmament and Security
Affairs.
