SUBJECT: BELARUS EXTENDS SYMPATHIES OVER VIRGINIA TECH TRAGEDY
During the course of an April 18 meeting on other topics with DCM,
MFA North Americas Desk Director Sergeyev passed a diplomatic note
expressing the GOB's condolences over the recent tragedy at Virginia
Tech University. The diplomatic note stated that the GOB received
the news of the mass execution of professors and students with deep
regret, and said that the MFA extends its sympathy to the U.S.
Embassy in Belarus and to all Americans who are connected in some
way to this tragedy.
