1. Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Secretariat of Foreign
Relations (SRE) Director General for Middle East and Africa
Ana Luisa Fajer Flores. Fajer was aware of the event and
said Mexico would probably send its concurrent Ambassador to
Egypt and Iraq, Jaime Nualart. She asked if Mexico would
receive a written invitation, and said this would be the
appropriate way to assure GOM participation. She doubted
Mexico would attend at the ministerial level.
2. Post requests Department notify POC Shane Christensen,
POL, Christensends@state.gov, as to whether a written
invitation should be offered.
