Security and Legal Issues Julian Juarez Cardenas. Juarez
appreciated learning the U.S. views regarding the IAEA's
report on Iranian compliance with UNSCR 1737 and next steps.
Juarez said he had read the IAEA report with great interest
and shares our concerns regarding Iran. He stressed that
Mexico supports political and diplomatic efforts to secure
Iran's compliance with its international obligations. He
inquired about what the U.S. is seeking specifically in a new
UNSC resolution on Iran, and said he hoped a new resolution
would be approved. He also asked what the U.S. will seek in
the NPT preparatory committee meeting to be held in Vienna in
late April. Post would appreciate any input we can pass to
the SRE.
