AVIATION AUTHORITY (CAAP) BILL
1. (SBU) We received a copy of Version 9 of the CAAP Bill dated
November 13, 2007. It includes language from ICAO's Model Civil
Aviation Law and addresses the missing features pointed out by the
Federal Aviation Administration during their latest assessment of
the Philippines. The bill will be presented to the 14th Congress
next week.
2. (SBU) An Electronic version of the document was sent to EAP/MTS
Philip Ingeneri for distribution to Washington agencies. An
electronic copy of the bill can be also obtained from Grazyna Coffin
coffingx@state.gov.
