Division representative Mateja Kracun on September 10. She
stated that the MFA had instructed its permanent
representative to NATO to support North Atlantic Council
Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer's planned visit to
SIPDIS
Tbilisi on October 3-4. Slovenia supports the visit because
it believes that it will send the correct signal to Georgia
and other interested parties. Kracun speculated that there
might not be sufficient support amongst NATO members for the
visit, but could not provide any details on whether Slovenia
would encourage support from host governments.
