SECSTATE 21535 ¶B. LJUBLJANA 413 ¶1. (U) On July 4, the GOS officially endorsed the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism Statement of Principals. Post received a diplomatic note regarding the endorsement on July 9. ¶2. (SBU) A subsequent conversation between Ministry of Foreign Affairs Security Policy Office Director Stanislav Vidovic and PolMilOff revealed that Slovenia currently does not have any specific plans to carry out activities specified in the Statement of Principals, but would like to be informed of future meetings and hopes to be invited. Vidovic noted that Slovenia had recently participated in a Proliferation Security Initiative and that due to the high level of activity within the GoS relating to Slovenia's assumption of the EU Presidency in January, he did not foresee the GoS undertaking other activities at this time. ¶3.
