Portuguese MFA Director for Human Rights Susana Vaz Patto
confirmed receipt of the draft resolution (reftel) from DAS
Barks-Ruggles during the U.S.-EU meeting on human rights in
Brussels on September 20. Vaz Patto has circulated the text
to EU Member States and is waiting for feedback from more
Member States before offering us the EU's position. She
added that the Portuguese Mission in New York would contact
the U.S. Mission with further information as soon as it
becomes available.
