to Liliana Araujo, Director for European Affairs at the MFA.
According to Araujo, the official GOP stance on the May 11
UNSC resolution on Kosovo is that it stands with the EU and
supports the UN Special Envoy proposal for the gradual and
monitored independence of Kosovo. However, Araujo stated that
unofficially many in the GOP do not expect the proposal to be
adopted by the end of May and the MFA expects to inherit this
issue when it assumes the EU Presidency in July.
