POLOFF met with MFA Director of Political Affairs Paul Chiunguzeni on March 1, 2006 to discuss reftel talking points. Chiunguzeni, after looking through the Statement of Principles, stated that he did not see anything in the statement that would lead to the GOM objecting to their ratification. However, he even if the GOM signed on to the Statement of Principles, Chiunguzeni was not optimistic that they would be able to attend this summer's meeting, due to funding constraints.
