(C) In the absence of appropriate diplomatic representation
for Argentina in Gabon, CDA raised Argentina's request for
Interpol approval of Red Notices for certain Iranian
officials (reftel) during a meeting October 26 with Deputy
Foreign Affairs Minister Michel Mboussou. Mboussou
acknowledged that Gabon is a member of Interpol but said he
was not sure if GOG will send representatives to the INTERPOL
General Assembly in Marrakech, Morocco, November 5-8. He
promised to bring the the issue to the attention of the
Gabonese delegation if there is one.
