Al-Oulaimi said Kuwait had not received an official invitation from Iran to inspect the Bushehr nuclear power plant. He stressed, however, that Kuwait shares concerns about Iran's nuclear program and understands the importance of maintaining a united front in pressuring Iran to comply with its obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty and with recent UN Security Council Resolutions.
