Mohammed Al-Shamlan in the Americas Department at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Al-Shamlan agreed that
countries with poor human rights records should not be
members of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). He said
Kuwait would consider U.S. concerns about Belarus' candidacy
and undertook to convey them as well to Kuwait's UN mission.
