the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Al-Shamlan agreed that
Zimbabwe's election to the UN Commission on Sustainable
Development (UNCSD) would undermine the credibility of the
CSD 16. He said Kuwait would consider U.S. concerns about
Zimbabwe's candidacy and undertook to convey them as well to
Kuwait's UN mission. Post will report any additional
