(C) In a 2/12 meeting with Polcouns, MFA Director for
International Organizations Affairs Mohammed Al-Awadi said
Kuwait has not considered a candidacy for the UN Human Rights
Commission. He said Kuwait fully agrees on the need for
credible representation on the HRC, but at this point did not
want to step forward into the "politics" of seeking a seat.
He expected that Kuwait would join Arab League consensus on a
regional candidate for the Asia group.
