On November 5, POLOFF delivered reftel points to MFA
International Organizations Counselor Dr. Hamad Bou Rahmah.
In a follow-up conversation on November 12, Bou Rahmah said
that the GOK will send Kuwaiti Ambassador to Morocco Saleh
Al-Bouaijan to the November 14-17 Community of Democracies
(CD) Ministerial in Bamako, Mali. In response to reftel
requests that the Kuwaiti delegation play an interactive role
at the CD, especially in terms of promoting the complementary
nature of democracy and Islam, Bou Rahmah replied that
Al-Bouaijan's status at the CD would be merely as an observer
and that he was unlikely to raise issues or put agendas
forward.
