1. (S/NF) Post delivered reftel talking points to MFA by
dipnote on 8 January, and followed up with repeated phone
calls to Acting Director of the MFA Americas Department Hamad
Al-Meshaan. Al-Meshan said the dipnote was forwarded to the
Ministry of Defense on 13 January. On 3 February, Al-Meshaan
told Econoff that he has spoken with his counterpart at MOD
and expects a response by 7 February. Post will report the
response septel.
