CONDEMNING RAPE AS POLICY INSTRUMENT

On October 4, POLOFF met with Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign
Affairs International Organizations Department Counselor Dr.
Hamad Bou Rahmah to deliver reftel demarche. Bou Rahmah said
that he would review the draft resolution "Condemning the Use
of Rape as an Instrument of State Policy," but added that the
GOK is likely to support this U.S. initiative. Post will
report any additional substantive response septel.
